WA Governor to visit Goldfields-Esperance Region

WA Governor, His Excellency  Malcolm McCusker and Mrs Tonya McCusker will be making their first official visit to the Goldfields-Esperance region this week. They will be accompanied by 2013 Young Australian of the Year, Akram Azimi, for the Kalgoorlie-Boulder part of the visit.

The visit is part of a week long regional visit to the Wheatbelt and Goldfields-Esperance regions. The Governor and Mrs McCusker will be visiting schools in Coolgardie and Kalgoorlie-Boulder, meeting local youth and community organisations and services and attending a civic reception hosted by the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder.

They will travel to Esperance, with stops in Kambalda and Norseman where they will meet with Shire Councillors and visit Norseman District High School.

The Esperance itinerary includes school visits, tour of Esperance Port and meetings with community organisations. A civic reception in their honour has been organised by the Shire of Esperance.
