The Hopetoun Community Centre, one of the first projects funded by the Royalties for Regions Goldfields-Esperance Revitalisation Fund with a $2M allocation is well underway.

The Shire of Ravensthorpe awarded the contract to build the new centre to WautersEnterprises of Albany last year and work commenced prior to Christmas.

The new Hall has taken shape, the roof is on and the construction of the internal structure, including office space is progressing with expectations that the building will be at lock up stage in mid to late April. Based on the current building program, the new Centre and refurbished Community Resource Centre (CRC) is scheduled to be completed and handed over the Shire in November of this year.

Included in the development is the refurbishment of the part of the existing building which will see the CRC double in size and the Progress Association relocating to offices in the new building.
