New Round of Funding for Goldfields-Esperance Region

Date published: 27/07/2016

Projects that assist in attracting investment and improving the quality of life in regional Western Australia will stand a chance to be funded by the State Government’s Royalties for Regions Regional Grants Scheme (RGS) and Community Chest Fund (CCF). Applications will open on Monday 1 August 2016 for the latest round of funding through RGS and CCF. RGS is aimed at projects to help attract investment, increase job opportunities and improve the quality of life in the regions, with grants from $50,001 to $300,000, with CCF supporting smaller local projects with one-off grants of up to $50,000.

Regional Development Minister Terry Redman said the Royalties for Regions investment is about strengthening and growing our regions and these investments will help regional communities realise their economic potential for the benefit of all Western Australians. The Goldfields-Esperance Development Commission will oversee the successful projects, with $1.6 million available under RGS and $556,000 under Community Chest.
