Aquaculture WA State Forum - a first for WA

Date published: 17/05/2016

The significant potential of WA to grow its aquaculture industry to supply high quality  seafood to domestic and  international markets will be on the agenda of the Aquaculture WA  State Forum, to be held on 26 May 2016 in Perth.

The Forum is presented by Western Australia's Regional Development Commissions, in partnership with Department of Fisheries and the Aquaculture Council of Western Australia. It is the first of its kind for WA and will provide a unique opportunity for industry, policy makers, regulators and funders to share information, understand risks and barriers to success and develop a collaborative action agenda for future industry development.

It is well recognized that WA is well placed to grow its industry but development in Western Australia lags behind competitors such as South Australia, Tasmania and New Zealand.
